Habit Shift

cover_new_subtitle.png

If you think about it for just a second, don’t life’s successes, however they are defined, result from adaptations you’ve made to how you think, how you maintain awareness of your world, how you manage your emotions and the decisions you are called upon to make? That being the case, doesn’t it then make buckets of sense to do the required work to anchor your capacity to adapt to new circumstances? In fact, don’t you think it would be brilliant to make adaptation a life skill?

Call it change competency, because after all, change is constant.

Some changes we welcome, while some changes drag us, moaning and groaning, into a new reality. Either way, what’s inescapable is that we ride the tiger of change or get stomped by the fleet of foot who learn how to continuously adapt. They are the wise among us. Which one are you?

Change may be easy or painfully difficult. There is no magic dust, but using the ideas in these pages to learn how to make change as easy as possible empowers us to live our best life. If you are in the helping professions, this material will provide useful, action-oriented strategies for your clients.

And by the way, you and the world around you have changed just in the time it’s taken to read these few lines. So, c’mon, learn how to roll with change.
